Share a beautiful moment that you experienced in sobriety that you wouldn't have experienced in addiction.
In recovery I allowed myself to grieve the passing of my father and mother that both died from an AUD condition 37 years ago..;
The loss of a parent is a great loss. I can't imagine the pain of losing both parents [around the same time].
I'm glad you stayed sober through it all. Grieving is hard--but processing it sober, helps.
Thanks for sharing.
Getting arrested on the way to work for an old warrant and accepting it, then choosing to enjoy it as much as possible. Showed myself misery is a choice and didnt allow myself to fall Into that mental trap.
Waking up not hung over. It's a beautiful moment each day.
thanks Amanda
Checking on a friend and being totally present
Like you Amanda. Thank you.
TG for those that came before
You're welcome!
Yes! Checking on people is so important. We don't always know the battles people are facing. Letting them know we see them makes the difference.
