There sure are alot of predators on here. I have reported two. This does not feel like a safe space

Hi Kim, I felt like that after being catfished a few times. I learned quickly how to spot them and learned to keep them at arms length until I new them through genuine actions. This is a great community and please stay. It is very supportive if you let it.

Yes, there are. Although it is a recovery site, it is still the internet. Don't let a couple of bad apples push you out of a safe space like this one. Even in meetings, things come up where you may find yourself disagreeing with from time to time, but would you let that run you out of a safe space for you to meet and grow with like minded people? There are more caring and helpful people on this site than there are negative.

Yeah. A couple of pointed questions is a pretty good way to spot a scammer pretty fast.

With all due respect I’m not referring to having disagreements with someone it’s much more sinister than that. But I get what you are saying and I agree Phil. Thanks for your words of encouragement.

I’m so sorry to hear this. And it is too true that many of us men don’t know how to behave. Treat people with respect.
The worse I get is women scanning for money.

So true . I had it happen twice. I was still not sure what was authentic. But regardless I personally love this site and its design . Going through my steps again and doing a living amends has been arduous and rewarding

It’s beyond normal. It’s over run so at some point it becomes a bigger problem than the scammers . When 5/4 try to scam you ( even if you don’t bite) it gets very old . There seem to be good people on here yes, and I hope you receive the support you need.

It’s definitely a precautionary space. People are typically still getting to know themselves when dealing with sobriety……
